In this tutorial, you'll discover all the steps to follow in order to connect Google Analytics 4 to your website, allowing you to track Sortlist's impact on your website's traffic.
1. Head to # Google Marketing Platform and click on "Get started today".
2. Enter your account details.
Name your account, with your agency's name.
3. Click on Next
4. Create the first property you want to track on Google Analytics.
Start by naming it.
5. Select your time zone.
6. In this example, we'll select Belgium.
7. Click on Belgium
8. Third step to create your property: Select your currency.
9. Click on US Dollar ($)…
10. Type "euro"
11. Click on Euro (€)
12. Click on Next
13. Define your business size, based on your team's headcount.
14. Choose your industry.
15. Search your industry by typing its name in the search bar.
16. If you don't find it, click on Other Business Activity.
17. Once you've defined your industry and business size, click on next.
18. Select your business objective.
19. Click on Create to set your objective in Google Analytics.
20. Accept Terms by clicking on OK, got it.
21. Make sure to also fill the checkbox under the button.
22. Select your region.
23. In this example, we'll select Belgium.
24. Click on Belgium
25. Click on I Accept
26. You're ready to go forward. Click on "Web".
27. Enter your agency's website URL.
28. Name your account, using your agency's name.
29. Click on Create & continue
30. You'll be prompted to set up a Google Tag Manager.
Google Tag Manager will allow you to track your website's traffic.
31. Click on "Copy" to copy the Tag.

33. Click on Close screen
34. Click on Next
35. Click on Continue to Home
