As soon as you receive an opportunity and send your application, the prospect directly gets a meeting invite in his mailbox. In other words, by applying to an opportunity, you’re now sending an invite to the prospect for you to meet and discuss the project.

What’s happening on the prospect’s side after you’ve applied to their project?

Once you’ve applied and sent your introduction, the prospect receives an email with:

  • Your introduction message,

  • The link to your complete application with all your details,

  • A call to action to answer the meeting invite.

A calendar event is also sent on both sides, for the meeting slot to be booked in both your calendar and the prospect’s one. From there, the prospect can either accept or decline the meeting. You’ll be notified in both cases.

If the prospect doesn’t accept nor decline your meeting invite within 24 hours, he will receive a reminder to answer it, containing your application details.

If the prospect declines your application, you’ll be automatically refunded in credits to invest in future opportunities.

Furthermore, one hour before the meeting, the prospect receives a reminder to ensure he joins to discuss the project with you.

What does it change from before?

Before this update, prospects were receiving your applications by email and they had to review them before planning a meeting with you. The process to actually meet a client was therefore longer, had more friction, and could delay client-provider partnerships.

Why this update?

Our mission is to build great business stories by connecting providers like you to companies looking for your expertises and your services. We believe that by reducing the friction and making it faster for you to meet with a prospect, more connections will happen through Sortlist.
