Our focus is to bring you actionable business opportunities and we put all our efforts to help you get in touch with prospects you are interested in.

The background check we apply on each project we share with you minimizes risks but it cannot eliminate them and you might be wondering if you qualify for a refund.

Before exploring the eligibility criteria for opportunities refunds, it is important to note that:

  • Request for refunds can be submitted maximum 60 days after the application to the opportunity.

  • If the request is approved by Sortlist, we will convert the price of the opportunity into Opportunity Credit. This credit can be used for future opportunities and is valid for 12 months. You can follow them in the Plans and modules section of your agency application.

The following situations qualify for a refund:

1. Unresponsive prospect

You couldn't get in touch with the prospect after 7 days after applying to the opportunity

  • minimum 3 attempts on different days

  • through 2 different channels
eg: Sortlist's video conference intro. meeting, phone, email, LinkedIn, etc

and neither Sortlist nor other applicants could get in touch with the prospect in the 7 days timeframe.

2. Application rejected

When a prospect declines your application, you are refunded 100% of the value of the opportunity.

3. Fake identity of the prospect

Will be considered as fake identity any of the following use cases:

  • the prospect's phone number is fake or wrong

  • the prospect is a student or another provider

  • the prospect does not exist

4. Identical lead

You have already paid for the same opportunity. Two opportunities will be considered similar if:

  1. published by the same prospect

  2. with the same project scope

  3. in the last 7 days

What does not qualify for a refund?

The following cases do not fall under Sortlist’s responsibility (according to our Terms & Conditions) and do not qualify for a refund:

  • No collaboration on the project

No refund will be issued if the prospect selects another agency, hires internally, or abandons their project.

  • Change of scope

No refund will be issued if the project’s scope changes.

  • Budget changes

No refund will be issued if the budget of the project ends up being different from the one that was introduced on Sortlist.

  • Changes of timing

No refund will be issued if the project is delayed or put on hold

  • You change your mind

No refund will be issued if you are not interested anymore in an opportunity you applied to.

How can I submit a refund request for an opportunity?

You can request a credit refund directly from your billing page.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Go to your billing page, select the opportunities tab and click on the 3 dots of the opportunity you want to request a refund for.

  2. Select the reason for your request.

  3. Provide proof to back up your request with concrete evidence.

  4. Validate and submit your request.

You will receive an email update on the status of your refund request within 2 business days. The email will inform you whether your request has been approved or rejected and what the next steps are.

If approved, the price of the opportunity will be added to your opportunity module balance in credits. You'll be able to invest these refunded credits on other opportunities.
