Picture this: you want to hire a provider to create your new E-Commerce website, but while introducing them, they do not show any past experience in E-Commerce creation.

You wouldn’t be very convinced about moving forward with their candidature, right?

To demonstrate your expertise to prospects and prove you are a great fit to their needs, you can now customize your applications with relevant works and reviews.

Your applications can now be customized

To prove your expertise, you can now customize your applications by choosing the works and reviews you want to put forward.

  • You apply to an E-Commerce project? Put forward past E-Commerce websites you’ve created.

  • You apply to a PR project? Put forward the press coverage you’ve gotten for past clients.

  • You get the idea 😉

But customizing your applications doesn’t stop at choosing specific works. You can also choose reviews you want to put forward:

Use that social proof to be more convincing and close prospects more easily.

What does it change from before?

Up until now, works and reviews highlighted in your applications were automatically selected, to help you gain time.

However, this automatic selection could cause a lack of demonstrated experience in the prospect’s required service or industry.

This was an issue, as your applications could not be as personalized and convincing as they should, leading to prospects being less responsive.

How to add works and reviews to your applications

As you apply to a project, you’ll be automatically prompted to choose the works and reviews you want to highlight:

From there, you’ll have two choices:

  • Either choose works from your collection (i.e. works already added to your Sortlist profile’s portfolio).

  • Add a new work that you hadn’t added on Sortlist yet.

In both cases, make sure your works are complete and show what you’ve done for past clients thoroughly. Show visuals and tell a story: what were the client’s challenges? What solutions did you find? What was the impact of your work?

The more complete the work, the merrier as you‘ll be more convincing in the eyes of the prospect.

Regarding reviews, the process is exactly the same:

What should you do?

Make sure to enrich your profile with as many works and reviews as possible. With this update and applications now being customizable, you’ll be able to leverage them to convince prospects more easily.

You will also gain time in your future applications if your collections of works and reviews are complete and up to date.

Furthermore, don’t forget this: you may not do it, but your competitors definitely will. If you don’t, they’ll get the edge over you and might win projects that you were capable of winning.

With Sortlist Custom Applications, create an impactful portfolio presentation in seconds and increase your chances of securing a first meeting with a prospect.
