In some rare cases, it is possible that the amount of opportunities you receive remains low, despite having optimized your Profile Quality Index (PQI) with works and reviews.
Different reasons can cause this situation to happen. In this article, we'll cover each of these reasons as well as what you can do to solve them.
Combining a great PQI with valid offices.
The first reason explaining why your amount of opportunities remains low can be that you haven't added valid offices to your profile yet. Having valid offices is a requirement to receive opportunities, as it allows us to make sure you are a real provider, with a real working address.
Without a valid office, we won't be able to identify you as a real provider, and you will not receive opportunities.
Therefore, here's how to add a valid office address to your profile:
Log onto your dashboard.
Click on the "Profile" section.
Head to the "Contact" tab.
From there, click on the "Add a new office" button:
You will then have the possibility to add your office address, which will be reviewed and confirmed by our team:
If that was the issue, you should start receiving more opportunities than before.
Combining City and Country.
Another possibility explaining a low amount of opportunities is the lack of City + Country settings.
From your dashboard, you have the possibility to configure your prospecting areas. If your amount of opportunities remains low, make sure to double check your settings so that your prospecting areas fit with the places where you are able to take on new clients' projects.
Here's how you can get it done:
Log onto your dashboard.
Click on the "Opportunities" section.
Head to the "Preferences" tab.
From there, add all your prospecting areas by clicking on the "Add prospect area" button:
Don't forget to always add a city + a country for each area.
Variation in Market Demand.
Thirdly, variations in market demand could also cause you to receive less opportunities.
Some services are more prone to seasonality than others, which may cause you to receive less opportunities at various moments of the year. Even if we're deploying as much effort as possible, both in SEO and SEA, to generate new opportunities for you, an off-peak period can always happen.
To face this situation, the best approach is to diversify:
The services you offer,
Your prospecting areas.
The goal being to avoid depending too much on one area or one service, in order to have multiple sources of opportunities, and therefore revenue.
To add new services to your profile, follow these steps:
Log onto your dashboard.
Click on the "Opportunities" section.
Head to the "Preferences" tab.
Click on the "Manage services" button:
You'll then be able to add new services to your profile, and diversify your sources of opportunities:
