What cancelling your plan does and does not stop

What happens to your plan, your visibility campaigns and Radar when you cancel Sortlist+, and how to stop all charges.

Written by Anna Ralon

Cancelling your Sortlist+ plan does not switch everything off at once. Your plan, your visibility campaigns, and Radar stop at different moments, and that is usually why a charge still appears after cancelling. This article explains what stops when, and how to stop everything straight away.

Cancelling ends your plan at the end of your subscription period

When you cancel Sortlist+, your subscription does not end straight away. You keep access to all the features of your plan, including the Visibility and Opportunity modules, until the end of your current subscription period.

Until that date, your campaigns and Radar keep running

Please note that cancelling your plan does not stop your modules. Until your subscription period actually ends:

  • your visibility campaigns stay active, keep receiving clicks, and keep consuming budget

  • Radar keeps identifying companies and keeps using credits for its daily identifications

If you want this to stop now rather than at the end of your period, stop them yourself. Pausing or archiving a campaign, and stopping Radar, both take effect immediately.

What stops on its own at the end of your period

When your subscription period ends, your account moves to the free plan and the paid modules are switched off for you:

  • Your visibility campaigns stop spending

  • Radar stops identifying companies

You do not need to do anything for this to happen, and nothing new is charged after it.

Consumption you have already used is still invoiced

Clicks and identifications from before that date are billed as normal on the invoice for that period. Cancelling does not remove consumption that has already happened. If your credits did not cover it, the remainder appears on your invoice.

So a final invoice arriving after you cancel is normal. It covers usage you already had, not a new subscription.

To stop all charges immediately, in this order

  1. Pause or archive your visibility campaigns.
This stops new clicks and new consumption straight away.

  2. Stop Radar.
This ends the daily identifications and the credits associated with them.

  3. Cancel your plan.
Go to Settings → Workspace → Plan & Billing, then select Cancel plan on the Sortlist+ card. Your subscription ends at the end of your current period.

  4. Settle any outstanding consumption invoice
    for usage you already had.

Doing step 3 without steps 1 and 2 is the most common reason agencies still see charges after cancelling.

Your plan renews automatically

Sortlist+ renews at the end of each subscription term. Depending on the option you chose, that term is either monthly or annual.
