The Radar tracking snippet lets Radar identify the companies that visit your website. You add it once, on every page, in your site's header. It takes a few minutes.
You only need this for website visitors. Identifying visitors to your Sortlist profile needs no snippet.
Step 1: Copy your snippet
In the agency app, open Radar > Website identifications and click Copy code to copy your snippet.
Already collecting data? You can also copy it from Radar > Settings > Tracking snippet.
Step 2: Add it to your website
The snippet must load on every page, in your site’s header (just before the </head> tag). In each case below, paste the snippet you copied, then save and publish.
Google Tag Manager (recommended if you use GTM): Tags > New > Tag Configuration > Custom HTML. Paste your snippet. Under Triggering, choose All Pages. Save, then Submit.
WordPress (pick the one that fits your site):
Sortlist plugin (self-hosted, easiest): on Radar > Website identifications, click Download for the WordPress plugin. In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, upload the file and activate it. Then open Settings > Sortlist Radar, enter your tracking ID and save.
Header-snippet plugin (self-hosted): prefer to add the code yourself? Install a header plugin such as WPCode and paste the snippet into the header.
WordPress.com: go to your site’s Settings, find the option to add header code, paste the snippet and save.
Webflow: Project Settings > Custom Code > Head Code. Paste your snippet, then save and publish.
Wix: Settings > Custom Code > Add Custom Code. Paste your snippet, set it to load on All Pages in the Head, then apply.
Squarespace: Settings > Advanced > Code Injection. Paste your snippet in the Header field, then save.
Shopify: Online Store > Themes > Edit code. Open
layout/theme.liquid, paste your snippet just before</head>, then save.
HubSpot CMS: Settings > Website > Pages. Paste your snippet in Header HTML (site-wide), then save.
Joomla: add the snippet to your template’s Head or Custom Code field, or edit the template and add it before
</head>.
Drupal: use your theme’s or a module’s Header field, or add the snippet to your theme’s HTML layout before
</head>, then clear caches.
Step 3: Check it's working
Once installed, Radar tracks your website automatically. Within 24 hours of your first visitor, your first identified companies appear on the Website identifications page, and the Awaiting snippet notice disappears. That’s your sign it’s working.
Tip: want to confirm the snippet is firing right away, without waiting? Open your website and open your browser’s Developer Tools. Go to the Network tab, type sortlist in the filter, and check for requests to collector.sortlist.com (which loads radar.min.js) and radar.sortlist.com.
Troubleshooting
Nothing shows up? Make sure you published (and cleared any cache/CDN) and that the snippet is on every page, not just one.
Check the paste. Confirm you pasted the full snippet, in the header.
